Nur schon Tampa "who needs D?"

Linie gesetzt).

These are just too funny... thought I would share some:
QUOTE
Who the **** is Jeff Finger -- First reply on a Leaf's board.
does that mean its 4 years 3.5 mill in total.. or 3.5 per year ???
I bet it is a mistake. It must be 4 years for 3.5 total...
Cliff Fletcher, you are a senile idiot. **** you you geriatric *******.
Wait, did this guy win a contest or something?
I think Fletcher is forgetting to take his old man pills.
Maybe paying Finger 3.5 per season is his way of bumping up the trade value of McCabe and Kubina.
Actually his giveaway totals are really impressive for the amount of ice time he played last season. Especially when you put them up against our current defenceman.
Leafs are about to make Redden the highest paid player in the world.
Bring Back Hal Gill!
Some of you are really underestimating Jeff Finger. He's a quality defenseman; a little overpaid but not as bad as same think it is.
This is karma for laughing at Colorado.
I think this has huge potential.
Potential? The guy will turn 29 in december for god's sake.
Nobody can EVER EVER EVER complain McCabe or Kubina are overpaid. ***
When i first read the headline I thought this was an AHL depth move...
Somewhere Jeff Finger is still moonwalking.
Good plus minus?
He was a healthy scratch against Detroit in the playoffs if that makes anyone feel better.
... at least there's no NTC!
Isn't $3.5/year for Jeff Finger the same thign as a no trade clause?
Judging by the narcotics Fletcher must be on at the moment, I'd say it's his best day ever too.
Dear Lord, we are getting condolences from Florida fans now.
Is this based on his skills or on his experience?
Leafs Give Fans The Finger, Sign No Name to Massive Deal
WE ARE DOOMED!!!!
I'm literally loling, I've gone insane.
Thank god the Thrashers are my backup team....
Scouting Report: CAREER POTENTIAL: Top six defenseman.
WOw..he's a top 6 d man...you just gave 3.5 million to a top 6 d man. way to go!
John Tavares here we come.
I could become an Oiler or Habs fan right now. Right ****ing now, I am so pissed about this signing. This is worse then every single ****ing signing that JFJ did.
I WANT JFJ BACK!!! FLETCH GO TO HELL!
A retarded baby would have known better than to make this deal.
Potentially the first time Leaf fans and fans of every other teams will agree?
It'd be very considerate of Fletcher if he went ahead and filled in the buy-out paperwork for his successor.
Fingered.
Come on this can't be true, is this some sort of sick joke.
There is no defending this, half the comentators are laughing their ***** off. Once again the Leafs are the laughing stalk of free agent frenzie.
Damn! Looks like Lowe missed out on the Jeff Finger sweepstakes.
the leafs will make up his salary in jersey sales alone
sign and trade !!!
2010 Headline: Leafs Cut Finger
His stats throughout the season look much better then those playoff totals.
I came home (left work early to watch free agent frenzy on tsn) had 5 beers chilling all day, popped a beer, swallowed, saw the signing and spit it out. Then I got some real liquor.
Who were the Leafs competing with?
I would hate having a guy named Finger dating my sister!
He's only overpaid by about $2 million.
Have we turned into the damn Oilers?
good to see someone else is determined to beat the ridiculouslness of the mats sundin 10mill offer sheet...
Half the players in the NHL are lining up for his agnet.
I wonder what number he'll wear.
The Leafs need to extend Devereaux's contract right now...before he tests the UFA market next year and gets $10 million per.
92 games. 92 GAMES. We gave him his contract for reaching a peak no one has even seen yet. 92 GAMES. 92 92 92 92 92. It's INSANE.
It's probably not the worst signing... in history, in all sports in the world... hopefully.
This would have to be a record setting signing in terms of most dollars paid to someone you never heard of.
He makes a great cappuchino!
His agent pulled the ol' Jedi Mind Trick
Relax, the hockey guys know what they're doing.
I've seen Finger play in the AHL. He's dirty. As in sick.
The big question is, what teams were offering him 2, 2.5, 3 million?
Why am I not surprised by this. Man it's painful to be a Leafs fan.
Enjoy it, Leafs fans.
He took the standard Toronto Discount.
The Avalanche were so fond of him, they traded for Ruslan Salei and Adam Foote at the deadline so the could get Finger off the ice and into the press box.
Dang, Rangers grab him.
Red Wings signed a similar player and many fans were not too happy about it either: Lilja @ $1.2 million.
Would it be fair to say that Toronto fans are going to see a lot of the trap this season?
I am hoping Finger is a better player in his full 2nd year in the NHL.
Are we a contender?
He was benched in the playoffs. That doesn't sound like "one of the five best defensemen in the west" to me.
I'm almost laughing as hard as this as when Toskala let in that goal from 20845208 feet.
Until I see I a link I don't believe there is even a guy named Jeff Finger in the league.
My best memory of Jeff Finger is when one of the sportsnet guys said "And Jeff Finger bangs it past the blue line!"
I doubt anyone has any clue what the Leafs needs are or what they aiming to get done with free agency.
Just so we are clear, are you limiting this comment to the people who post on HF Boards or does it extend to Leafs management as well?
Joel Quenville just pulled off the greatest prank in hockey history!
Well at least he has a nice personality.
Fletcher: "Uh yeah, so we're interested in signing your client, hmmm... let's see... Finger? Oh yes, Jeff Finger... to a 2 year deal totaling $2.2 million.
Finger's Agent (In his mom's basement): "I'm sorry Mr. Fletcher... [yells incoherently to the side of the phone]... it's crazy here... I'm having trouble hearing you... offers are pouring ins... [clangs a bell, yells some more]... they're saying he's the next Bobby Orr... [rararararara]... "
Fletcher: "$3.5!!! $3.5 million!!! For 4 years!!!"
Finger's Agent: "Today's your lucky day."
Classless bunch you are. Giving a fanbase the finger while it's down.
Anyone else afraid to google "Jeff Finger video highlights"
Don't feel bad. He's the next Aki Berg we've been praying for ever since he left for Finland.
I find it funny how many comments we've seen about him being a solid move because he's excellent defensively, but then hear he was benched in the playoffs because of a defensive mistake that cost his team the game.
Da sind wirklich Perlen dabei
